The exclusion process with sources and sinks.

I will explain the concept of duality starting from the symmetric exclusion process. Then this will be applied to study the symmetric exclusion process with a source or a source and a sink at the origin. Depending on the dimension of the underlying lattice, different scenarios occur for the limiting distributions of the particle configuration. Based on joint work with Ellen Saada.
