What is studied?
Mathematics is studied in depth in its main areas: Algebra, Geometry, Mathematical Analysis, Mathematical Physics, Probability Theory and Numerical Analysis. Courses in the fields of Physics and Informatics and Computational and Computer Laboratory activities are also offered. A wide range of optional courses is offered to allow students to undertake different training paths. The activities aimed at laboratory practice and the writing of the Degree Thesis offer students the opportunity to independently develop their own skills and inclinations.
What you become
The natural path of studying Mathematics continues in the Master's Degree Courses in Mathematics, to specialize in the activities of Teaching, Applied Mathematics or Scientific Research, or in the 1st level Masters. As regards access to the world of work, approximately half of graduates in Mathematics are employed in the field of teaching Mathematics and disseminating scientific culture. The other half mainly carries out qualified technical or professional tasks supporting the activities of industry, finance, services and public administration.
