The Research Commission is an investigative and consultative body relating to the scientific research of the Department, it has the task of providing opinions to the Board and the Department Council and to the evaluation bodies in the context of initiatives that guide and support the research, also in terms of procurement and assignment of economic resources and personnel resources.
The Research Commission is responsible for promoting the effective management of services and laboratories of interest to the Department, stimulating and supporting the presentation and management of research projects, instructing the resolutions of the competent decision-making bodies of the Department based on the activities carried out. In order to ensure effective documentation of research activities and results, the Commission also prepares annual reports as part of the Annual Department Report, the Single Annual Departmental Research Sheet, and the Annual Research Report.
The Research Commission is made up of a member of the Board delegated for research, who chairs it, the Coordinators of the Doctoral Courses and Schools activated within the Department or their delegates, three further teaching or research members of the Department appointed by the Council upon proposal of the Director, by a member of the Technical staff appointed by the Council upon proposal of the Director.
