Il Doppio Diploma è un percorso di studio concordato tra almeno due Università di paesi diversi.

Il programma di studio e le modalità di rilascio del titolo di studio vengono definite tra le Università all’interno di una convenzione.

Il Doppio Diploma ha il doppio vantaggio dell’esperienza all’estero unita al rilascio di un titolo di studio con valore legale in entrambi i paesi. L’esperienza all’estero è sempre più richiesta e costituisce un vantaggio nell’inserimento professionale dei laureati. Una permanenza di più mesi in un paese straniero consente allo studente di acquisire competenze e conoscenze linguistiche e culturali del paese, particolarmente apprezzato nel mondo professionale. Il doppio titolo apre al mercato del lavoro nelle amministrazioni pubbliche anche nel paese partner.

The Double Degree Program is a joint degree agreed between the Laurea Magistrale Physics at UNIMORE and the M.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy at the Radboud Univesiteit (Nijmegen, NL) and allows to obtain both Degrees at the same time, after spending one year at each institution.

The program is accessed through a selection at the beginning of the two-year master's degree. A personalized study plan will be established, integrating competences obtained at either institution through courses and seminars and finalized to a joint research thesis project to be carried in the second year. Admitted students will spend the first year attending classes at the home university and the second year at the partner university fully devoted to a research program. Finally, the attendees will defend their thesis at one of the two institutions. The research program during the year abroad will be entirely recognized in substitution of exams normally planned in the second year.

Attendees of the double degree program are subjected to the normal university fee at the home university and are eligible for the Erasmus fellowship under the usual call issued every year (normally in January).

The Faculty of Science of the RU is a European reference center for research in physics, home to the HFML, one of the European facilities for the production of high magnetic fields for the study of matter in extreme conditions, and an institutional partner in the Virgo and LISA collaborations for the study of gravitational waves. The M.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy offers training in particle and astrophysics, quantum matter and neurophysics.
