The course of study presents itself

Physics is an International Master's Degree entirely taught in English, which promotes the exchange of teachers with foreign universities and international agreements, such as the Double Degree program.

The program is organized into three flexible curricula. Students can customize their study plan by choosing from a large list of courses, which can be updated at the end of each semester, or opt for one of the predefined study plans.

Curriculum Theoretical and Computational Physics

Predefined study plans in

  • Theoretical physics of fundamental interactions
  • Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
  • Computational Materials Physics
  • Theoretical and Computational Astrophysics

Curriculum Experimental Nano-physics and Quantum Technologies

Predefined study plans in

  • Nanophysics and Nanotechnology
  • Quantum science & technology

Curriculum Biophysics and Applied Physics

Predefined study plans in

  • Physics of biological systems
  • Applied physics

The course of study can be enriched with an international experience by participating in the  Erasmus  program or the  double degree program , obtaining both the Master's Degree in Physics and the  Dutch  M.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy . The path of excellence  and participation in  SUGAR  projects allow you to integrate your education with advanced research knowledge and to come into direct contact with the business world.

Physics boasts a high faculty/student ratio and has received high student approval in  student opinion surveys (OPIS questionnaires).

Double degree program

The agreement between the L,M. Physics offered by UNIMORE and the  M.Sc. in Physics and Astronomy at Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen (NL) the agreement allows you to obtain both degrees simultaneously, after spending a year at each institution.
