Job orientation

Contenuto

The collaboration between the physicists of our department and the main production areas of the territory , composed of both multinationals and small high-tech companies, allows an effective orientation of our master's graduates towards significant careers in the corporate world, particularly in the automotive, ceramic, biomedical, food & packaging sectors.

The growing need on the part of local companies for figures with a high scientific education and capable of relating to the different aspects of the production reality allows our master's graduates to reach top positions in the field of industrial research and management .

Orientation initiatives towards the world of work

  • The University has the Study, Work and Placement Orientation Office that proposes actions aimed at the knowledge and insertion of students into the world of work. Furthermore, every year the University organizes More Jobs , a trade fair initiative during which companies meet students and graduates to offer opportunities for internships and insertion into the world of work.
  • The curriculum includes professional courses aimed at developing awareness and skills directly addressed to the world of work, both in basic research contexts and in corporate contexts .
  • The course of study organizes an annual series of meetings with physicists employed in top corporate positions , to provide a broad-spectrum vision of the opportunities and role that Physics graduates have in the technological development of the territory.

Annual meetings (*):

  • Marco Medici, LivaNova : “The physicist in the biomedical industry”.
  • Elena Cipressi, Amazon Web Services : “Life outside the physics system”.
  • Luca Costa, Program Director Bologna Business School : “Eric Berne's Games and the Theory of Edgar Schein”;.
  • Maximiliam Romani, Head of HMI and Ergonomics, Ferrari : “A Physicist in automotive electronics”.
